Stop using “self-care” as an excuse….⁣ ⁣ To literally not take care of yourself. This post might be triggering, but hear me out. ⁣ ⁣ This is a difficult time right now for A LOT of people. I understand that, and I am empathetic to each and every situation that is unfolding out there. The truth is, I actually care A LOT and that is where this entire post/message truly comes from. ⁣ ⁣ 🔹I am sick of seeing people dwell in their negativity.⁣ 🔹I am sick of people throwing themselves a pity party. ⁣ 🔹I am sick of people using this situation to pull themselves deeper into a rabbit hole. ⁣ ⁣ 🗣LISTEN: ⁣ 🔹Eating like shit is not self care.⁣ 🔹Sitting on your ass all day in front of the TV is not self care. ⁣ 🔹Complaining on social media “to vent” is not self care. ⁣ ⁣ Those things are temporary outlets or comforts that are actually just manifestations of excuses and fear. ⁣ ⁣ Most of us have been in quarantine/practicing social distancing for approximately 1-2 weeks. During this time, no matter WHAT type of situation you’re in, you have likely had more free time than usual. ⁣ ⁣ 👉🏻Have you been using it to sulk? Have you been using it to feel sorry for yourself? To binge watch Netflix or tweet about how bad everything is? WHERE is that really getting you? Absolutely. Nowhere. ⁣ ⁣ 👉🏻Out of a job? Are you using this time to look for new opportunities? Places ARE still hiring. Out of shape? Your previous excuses about lack of time, social events, etc are GONE. Struggling with negative thoughts? Have you tried listing the positive things you STILL have? ⁣ ⁣ ✨Life is 10% of what happens to us, and 90% of how we react to what happens. I am not saying you have to be a ball of sunshine every day, or diminishing your hardships, but I am asking you to get real with yourself. Stop saying you’re just “taking care of yourself” by doing literally all the things that hold you back even more. ⁣ ⁣ 💫You don’t have to get in the best shape of your life. You don’t have to start a new business. You don’t have to learn a new subject. But if what you’re doing instead is sulking/complaining/watching TV….WHY NOT do one of these things? I believe in you!

Vi sgancio subito la   #ricetta   di questa meraviglia in teglia 🔴ho impastato la mattina per la sera e a mano, daje 💪🏻 ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ •• . 📝 500 g farina 1 cucchiaio olio evo 1 bustina lievito secco 250 g Acqua tiepida . •• . Iniziate sciogliendo il lievito nell’acqua tiepida. Mettete la   #farina   in una terrina ( per me stavolta farina Manitoba e farina tipo 1, spesso faccio Manitoba e integrale), aggiungete l’olio e   #lievito   che avete sciolto nell’acqua. Ora impastate per bene, risulterà un impasto omogeneo e un po’ appiccicoso.Formate una palla stando bene attenti a chiudere il fondo verso il centro. Ora mettetelo nella terrina con un po’ di farina sul fondo e coprite con della pellicola. Lasciatelo lievitare nel forno con luce accesa. ⚪️Dopo due ore re-impastate e fate riposare ancora per due ore sempre nel forno con luce accesa. ⚪️Passate queste altre due ore è il momento di stendere l’impasto, aiutatevi con un matterello se necessario e con la carta forno mettetelo in una teglia e fatelo lievitare più che potete, sempre nel forno con luce accesa. 🔴🔴🔴 ora è fattaaaaa, si fa sudare sta pizza, ma vedrete che cosa meravigliosa ne uscirà.Salate la superficie e Farcite come più vi piace, pomodoro origano verdure ecc ecc- LA   #MOZZARELLA   E ALTRI FORMAGGI ancora NO, LI METTIAMO ALLA FINE- infornate a 200 gradi per 25/30 minuti, poi toglietela e mettete la parte formaggiosa e rimettete in forno altro 10 minuti. PROTEIN MYTHS👀 the hype around protein rich foods is not without a reason, but there are so many misconceptions around it! ✖️ eating more protein will make you gain muscle -> not necessarily. muscle gain is the result of a combination of sufficient caloric protein intake, progressive overload, adequate rest and consistency. just eating protein rich foods will not magically make you gain muscle. ✖️ the more protein the better -> there is actually no scientific evidence suggesting that the more protein you consume, the better your results will be (in that case every bodybuilder would survive off of protein). the upper UPPER limit for healthy adults is 2.2g of protein/kg of body mass a day, however most people are totally fine with 1-1.6g/ kg of body mass a day. ✖️ high protein diets cause kidney problems -> unless you have any kindey or liver issues/diseases, you should not be worried about protein negatively impacting your health. ✖️ animal products are the only complete sources of protein* -> soy beans/products and quinoa are also considered complete sources of protein, all other plant protein sources are considered incomplete** and they must be mix&matched during the day/in meals, to ensure the intake of all essential amino acids. it's actually suggested to get your protein from a variety of sources, whether you are or are not vegan/vegetarian. ✖️ you need to supplement protein -> unless you can't hit your protein goal with sufficient nutrition, there's no need to add protein powder or other protein supplements in your diet. . *complete source of protein - contains all essential amino acids **incomplete source of protein - does not contain all essential amino acids

meatless monday!⠀ beet my burger.⠀ grain free & vegan⠀ approx. macros: 8g protein/ 10g carbs/ 1g fat with 3g fiber⠀ ⠀ ingredients.⠀ 15g sweet potato, raw⠀ 75g cauliflower, cooked, drained⠀ 25g no salt added beets⠀ 30g raw mushrooms ⠀ 1 tbsp Hemp Pro 70⠀ 1 -1.5 tsp Hudson Bay Spice by Savory Spice⠀ spray oil⠀ ⠀ make it.⠀ 1. place all of your ingredients in a small blender/chopper and blend until combined.⠀ 2. form your “meat” into two patties.⠀ 3. heat up a grill pan and spray with oil of choice.⠀ 4. cook your “burger” on one side until browned slightly and grill marks appear.⠀ 5. be gentle! FLIP!⠀ 6. cook the second side as you did the first.⠀ 7. carefully remove from pan.⠀ FINALLY...top and serve like you would any burger!⠀ ⠀

It's really hard for me to find motivation to stay on track when you have to workout from home. So, I like to scroll through old photos of when I was prepping for other shows and remind myself that I will be lean again. Burrito bowls prepped for lunches. Since becoming a full time teacher   #suckitcorona   I feel like I have less time then before. These bowls came together super easy. Chicken Marsala w/ Creamy Marsala Sauce 🍗😋 Eat or Pass? 😍 📷:   @cookingclassy   👌 ---- Ingredients 🍱: 1 1/4 cups dry marsala wine* 1 1/4 cups unsalted chicken broth 2 (10 - 11 oz) boneless skinless chicken breasts, butterflied and halved, pounded to an even thickness Salt and freshly ground black pepper 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 2 Tbsp unsalted butter 2 Tbsp olive oil 8 oz. cremini mushrooms, sliced 3 garlic cloves, minced (1 Tbsp) 1 tsp minced fresh thyme (or scant 1/2 tsp dried) 1 tsp minced fresh oregano (or scant 1/2 tsp dried) 1 1/2 tsp cornstarch whisked with 1 Tbsp chicken broth (in a small bowl until well combined) 1/3 cup heavy cream 1 Tbsp minced fresh parsley - DIRECTIONS 👩‍🍳: Add marsala wine and chicken broth to a medium saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and let gently boil until reduced to 1 cup**, about 15 minutes. Season both sides of chicken with salt and pepper. add each side in flour mixture. Melt 1 Tbsp butter with 1 Tbsp olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and let sear until cooked through, turn once halfway through, about 10-12 mins. Transfer chicken to a plate. Reduce temperature to medium heat. Melt remaining 1 Tbsp butter with 1 Tbsp olive oil, add+saute mushrooms. Just tossing occasionally (and increasing burner temp slightly as needed), until mushrooms have shrunk and are golden brown, about 8 minutes. Add garlic during last 1 minute of sautéing. Remove pan from heat then pour in marsala, thyme and oregano. Return to heat, bring to simmer, then stir in cornstarch chicken broth mixture. Stir until thickened. Off heat stir in heavy cream, season sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Return chicken breasts to pan.
